Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Bridgestone tyres
« Last post by chrisv on Today at 05:43:08 PM »Hi,
I had Bridgestone tyres, 175/65/15 fitted to my 2011 jazz CVT two years ago. They now seem extremely hard and are cracking between the treads, pressures are correct and actual age checked before fitting, anybody else had problems with them, I wish I'd stayed with Michelin ,

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Jazz 2008 - Model confirmation required.
« Last post by Lord Voltermore on Today at 03:41:10 PM »I think the DSI bit refers to the engine type . In the european specification it was available in 4 trim levels, S , SE ,SE sport and sport. All European trim levels had heated mirrors.
The main difference is SE had air conditioning , and electric rear windows, the S did not. But as you are in South Africa all bets are off . The south african specification trim levels may be completely different, missing some features, or adding others. Even the lowest trim level may have had airconditioning, while none may have had heated mirrors etc. The trim level may have a different name.
As Olduser says the main difference is likely to be whether the replacment mirror is heated or not. As most Jazz came with heated mirrors its likely that most replacment spare parts will have a heating element stuck on the back of the glass, whether it needs it or not. It doesnt add much to the cost and saves having to stock both types. If your car door is not wired for a heated mirror its not really worth paying an electrician to wire it up. You didnt have a heated mirror in the first place. If the replacment mirror is not the heated type I dont think an electrican could make it so, and do you really need it to be heated?

You can check the spec if the car by finding the vin number on the passenger b pillar it's down near the bottom of the door.
Quote that number when ordering it's down to wether your Jazz has heated mirrors or not from memory.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Honda Specification - What do the Numbers and Letters Mean?
« Last post by Lord Voltermore on Today at 02:31:12 PM »There are a number of clean air zones that require a minimum Euro standard. Some higher than others. Some are enforced by number plate readers which will automatically check whether the vehicle complies.
But in EU countries its not enough just for the car to be compliant. For germany you have to apply in advance for an umwelt sticker and in France for a crit air sticker, and display it on your windscreen. You email them an image of your log book as proof of its compliance. There is a small fee but the sticker then lasts the life of the car.
I think a few cities in Netherlands and Belgium also have zones where locally registered vehicles are detected by number plate readers, but cars registered elsewhere (inc UK) have to apply in advance
to be included on their database of compliant vehicles.

« Last post by ColinB on Today at 01:02:22 PM »"Euro 6 means the engine meets EU level 6 regulations".
That sounds a tad ominous if a holiday in the EU is on the cards.
Do you think my '17 MKIII Jazz meets those regs?
Most, if not all, new petrol cars registered after Sept 15 will be Euro 6. It’ll also be stated on your V5C. See this:
https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/euro-emissions-standards/
You should be OK for any and all local clean air zones (there isn’t - yet - a Euro 7), but obviously you’ll need to check.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Jazz 2008 - Model confirmation required.
« Last post by Walterhbez on Today at 11:46:06 AM »I've moved into a new home where a lamp post jump in front of me when I reversed right into it and removed my right side mirror... The other mirror had its sensor broken I guess by someone walking past it and bending it past its limit when I wasn't around, this happened before.
That is my short story I'm sticking with. I've been to a couple of dealerships (started at Honda which was just too insanely expensive and I am about to go back).
My problem is that I've had my car at one of the dealerships booked in as a 2008 1.4 I DSI, the mirrors were ordered and when it arrived I was told that the mirrors would require an auto electrician to modify them to "fit" my car. This was not part of the deal so I told them to "stop the lorry" and refund/stop anything they were busy with; I took my car and I since then looked for another dealership to help me.
I still am not sure though that the model of my car is correct though. Is there a way I can make sure I have the correct model for my car? Any help I would very much appreciate!
Many thanks for you help in advance.
Walter.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Oil check
« Last post by Spodric on Today at 11:38:09 AM »After I took delivery of the Jazz in 2020 I found that the oil level was fine but the coolant level was too low.
Poor PDI.
In 4 years I haven't needed to top up the oil between services. Seldom feel a need to check the disptick.
