Got a message on screen that the car has been updated, no idea what's been updated,  everything appears the same.  Any ideas

If you go into the System Update app on the audio unit and select the settinga button, top right I think it is and then select update history in the presented menu, it will then give you the update details.

So there seems to be a new update to the Audio System.

If you go to updates, it should show up. Make sure you are connected to a WiFi network, of course. My 70 plate Jazz has just received the audio system update to 71BA-0151-021

Hi I got a Jazz and came with "82BA-0039-221" any idea if this is the latest version?

"MyHonda +" android app didn't not detect my car.
And usb.honda.com gives me some connection issue after I upload the .JSON file that my car has written.
So I'm not sure if my car is supported by Honda services and stuff.

Also, It seems the car is not sharing internet to the Honda's infotainment via Android Auto (when "Checking for updates"). It always suggest to use a different connection like USB or Wi-Fi.

I'm just asking out of curiosity, not a big deal to be honest.

Have you got a photo zoomed out a little so we can see if telematics has been activated

We need to see the top line of the infotainment screen
Let's be careful out there !

Here you are. I think it is not enabled. I mean, it says "Connected to TCU" but it looks "grayed out". Also since this Honda+ doesn't work i guess is because of this reason.

I think my dealer is a franchise, not directly "Honda". So I wonder if I'll be able to enable this in the future. I understand the dealer needs to enable this?

If telematics haven't been enabled then IIRC you won't get over the air software updates

Let's be careful out there !

Not even the ones that I do via WiFi / Internet? (Those return a message saying there are no updates).

I'll try to check with my dealer if this can be enabled, but since this is a small region, not sure if they will know how to do this.

For what it’s worth, mine came with exactly that same version at around the same date.

Yeah. I contacted Support and they told me in Canarias all vehicles come with the same configuration, that they do not have a TCU that allows a direct connection with Honda services.

I'm not sure if this is something to worry about. But I wonder if the "WiFi Check for updates" actually does something when it says that there are no new updates available.

Small new info about my "TCU disabled" Jazz (due to Canarias Honda seller policy).

Today I went to usb.honda.com and I uploaded the old. json file that I already had stored on my PC and this time it took like 10-20 seconds processing and finally got a message "No updates available at this time".

So I'm happy because it seems the portal now identifies my .json file. So it's not completely blacked out from Honda servers in case a new update is released in the future.
