Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax - Amazing Product
« on: June 16, 2025, 01:04:49 PM »
I’ve used Showroom Shine for about 20 years and loved the finish it left

A few days ago I thought I’d buy some more and try to keep the car looking immaculate

I wanted to see some reviews for other waterless wax products

This Meguiar product seemed to come out tops in many reviews so thought I’d order some from Amazon @ £15

I received it yesterday and went straight out to the car to try it out

Wow and more Wow!  It’s an awesome product.  I only intended to do a small section (bonnet) but found it so easy to use I ended up doing the whole car; it took me less than 15 minutes

It is recommended to use two clothes, one to clean and one to polish. I used this method but to be honest you could probably get away using just one cloth

I purchased the Maguiar micro fibre cloths and they are fantastic quality and work a treat with this product. They are quite big so you can do multiple folds so you always have a clean side.  However any micro fibre cloth will work well and leave your car shiny

Agree Bev, these products are really good for a quick shine, I use Triplewax Waterless but I don't like the idea of using them without first washing my car which I suppose negates the "waterless" bit,  but I am concerned about the dust and grit on the paintwork being ground in whilst using these "waterless" detailing products

I’ve used similar products over the years with absolutely no damage to my paintwork

This Meguiar's version is much better than any I’ve tried

It’s so quick to do the whole car and a joy to use

You end up with a lovely shiny car

I have always used Autoglym products, that have been very good. About every 3 months I will use their Rapid Aqua wax to add a hard shell shine. However, after just the monthly wash I will go over the car quickly with the Meguiar's waterless. I would never use it without first washing the car normally though, as I would'nt trust the Meguiar's on its own to remove fine dust/grit/sand without scratching. As a finisher though, it is very good.

I have never damaged my paint by using Showroom Shine

I don’t let my car get that dirty so a waterless Wash & wax suits me perfectly

This Meguiars version is extremely good and actually much easier to use than Showroom Shine!

Been using Meguiars waterless for a while now since my Mantis waterless with caranuba is running low

I still reckon using this after a wash is the way to go
Let's be careful out there !

I totally agree

Make sure your car isn’t filthy dirty before using waterless wash & wax

I had my Jazz washed about a week ago and it wasn’t that dirty so I used the Meguiars waterless wash & wax and it was fantastic and left the car very shiny

Actually yes we sometimes do get the Sahara sand rain and it’s a pain in the neck

I would now use this Meguiar's wash & wax to get rid of it

I would have absolutely no worries about any damage to my paintwork using it either

The Meguiar's wash & wax is such a great product

I wouldn't use waterless if the car has sand residue on it

Rinse first with water to wash it off

I can guarantee you that using waterless wash & wax will NOT damage your paintwork

I have used it for years (Showroom Shine) and had absolutely no issues whatsoever

You’re all making me feel guilty as I have not washed or polished my car since buying it new 6 months ago. In the block of flats where I live car-washing is not allowed in the car park and there is no convenient tap. The rain takes off the worst dirt. I do sometimes wash the windows however using a bucket, in the interests of seeing where I’m going!

You’re all making me feel guilty as I have not washed or polished my car since buying it new 6 months ago.

I've owned my Jazz for next to three years and it was given about six thorough washes (three of them done by my dealership).

As you I like to keep my windows (and the interior) clean and do more frequent power washes of the underside / wheel wells etc during winter to get rid of the salt and grit. (I have yet to see a car that fell victim to corrosion from the roof) ;)

Addendum:
btw: I was "complimented" on my former's car paint coat condition (after six years of ownership and "neglect") - so, I'm feeling quite confident to carry on with my "neglect" :D

Exactly. It would be like a fine emery cloth effect, gradually swirling away against the paintwork under the cloth  :o

A salesman at honda dealership once said to me [the amount of money you pay for a car
it is to be used not mollycoddled they all finish up worthless in time] I have to say though
its nice to see a car which is looked after.
I forgot what I came to forget.
