The quick , low tech, way of telling whether you have 'Here' or Garmin is the map colour.
'Here' maps are basically light grey, with roads shown in dark grey. With some green and blue areas and colour features etc added. Garmin maps tend more towards beige background and roads are often coloured. Fairly sure the video is 'Here'.
Whilst some might prefer the extra colours I actually prefer the 'Here' maps.
The roads are shown in a more realistic and accurate way . IMO. If you zoom the map out a bit it still looks like a good quality atlas with the road network, towns, coastlines etc accurately portrayed . Which helps a lot if you want to plot a route or destination directly on to the map rather than by addresses, coordinates etc.
The Garmin maps are more stylised .Close up it might be thought more colourful and funky , but zoomed out you can lose a lot of detail. If for instance I wanted to plot a long distance route, by adding a waypoint on a road that bypasses a distant town I found Garmin maps sometimes didnt show a road or even a large city until you zoom in quite close. I often had to guestimate its location on a largely blank map then zoom in and out several times before I finally found it.
