Identify Sensor/plug
« on: February 02, 2026, 08:43:12 AM »
Hi all,

I greatly appreciate your help identifying this plug on the right hand side of the car in the engine bay.
What is it and what should it connect to?
Honda Jazz 2022 hybrid 1.5L UK.

I can upload more photos if needed.
Many thanks

Those images don't look like a MK4 2022 to me

I don't see the orange HV leads

Got a photo from further away to identify the location
Let's be careful out there !

Thank you

Sorry, I cant find a similar looking lead/connector  on my 2024 car.  Even using the endoscope I got for christmas .(Thanks for giving me a reason to use it so soon  ;D )  But i cant be sure I  found every possible nook and cranny or loom routing.  .

From the sequence of photos it looks like the coolant tank was unbolted at some point.  This may have released the wiring loom from its normal  secured routing . The  distance to any mating connector might not be what it appears , and it might be hidden away behind something.

If it helps the connector appears to be female so any match would have exposed 'male' terminal blades.   Anything electrical not working ?

Hi the crash bar and radiator and some other parts were replaced.
I do have airbag light on dashboard and maybe a traction light (car with ! sign through it). The car has not been driven much at all.
I have error code: B0097-87 No Signal From The Right Side Impact Sensor (Second)
But this connector should be yellow from my googling results.

Thank you

Doesn't look anything like a MK4 from the photos, a bit more info would help, also not a good idea leaving an adjustable wrench on top of the engine ;)

IMO  definitely a mk4. Confusion may be because  the missing RH  drivers side wing ,headlight and  frontal cowling reveals  quite a lot of parts that are not normally visible.   If  so the same may be true of the passenger side. If the connector was missed or misrouted when the frontal parts were replaced  it might be in an area that is not visible when we look at a fully assembled car.

You may need to consult someone with previous experience of a frontal rebuilt or access to full workshop data.

Thanks for your reply. I'm just hoping someone knows exactly what that plug is.

Why do some places call this car a MK5?

The car appears to be a Honda HR-V with a 1.5L hybrid engine.

There was a slight facelift in 2023.(might include some cars registered in 2022 )  Not enough for Honda to call it a mk5

It has a different front grill  style ,wheels etc so maybe some body parts etc differentiate facelift cars.

There used to be a Jazz model in the 1980’s. When Honda started with the supermini Jazz in 2002, that 2002 to 2008 model is considered Mk1. So the historic model is ‘forgotten’ in the naming.

I wish it was an HRV, but no, it's a Jazz
