Update followed by fail of navigation system

I carried out the update in July using my android phone hotspot. Since the update the navigation system will not load. In addition although the google maps will load from android phone the route drops out again before the vehicle moves. I have tried a soft reboot to no avail. At about the same time, or possibly just before the update the speed limit recognition stopped working. If i try to reset it it tels me its not possible.
Thughts on how i resolve this please. Car is due its first year service at the end of October.

Two options occur to me - others may have better ideas:
1.Wait for first service, with car presumably under warranty.
2.Factory data reset p.314 of manual (general settings/system/factory data reset

BTW the traffic sign recognition system uses GPS and some kind of map as well as the camera.  In Paignton, South Devon, they have moved a speed limit sign up the road, perhaps half or quarter of a mile.  The sign is at a 30/40 transition.  As I pass the missing 'phantom' sign, the display on the car changes from 30 to 40.  When I reach the new, real, 40 sign up the road nothing happens.  Coming the other way when I reach the real 30 mph sign, the camera presumably reads it, and the car changes to 30, staying that way as I pass the phantom sign further on.  Arguably this is not a fail safe design.

I read somewhere that the previous navigation could be terminated in a hidden menu. Now it is no longer possible. Apparently because it is closely linked to the system's sign recognition and the hatred of "speed alarm".

HERE in Jazz is poorly updated, compared to HERE WeGo.
About a month ago I updated HERE in Jazz, and this "update" still doesn't see the new (six months ago) bypass in my city. All other (external) navigations see it, including HERE WeGo.

I only just got here-we-go and was hoping I could use it to plan routes at home and then use the same route in the car which is why I like Waze and Google Maps so much.  Does here-we-go load maps dynamically or preload them?

I don't use HERE WeGo. I have it on my phone out of nostalgia and just tried it out.

I use Mapy.com exclusively - where I can plan a route at home on my PC, then sync it with my mobile and use it in my Jazz via Android Auto.

The following trick may be worth a try to get the navigation app unstuck. Beware that it also deletes all your previously saved destinations from the map.
SETTINGS > SYSTEM > DETAIL INFO > APP MANAGER > NAVIGATION > STORAGE > CLEAR DATA

I've now got this bug after letting the car do an update and I have no intention of trying to fix it as the lack of bongs every time the car thinks I'm speeding (quite often just going at the actual speed limit) has made driving the Jazz a much more pleasant experience. Indeed, I would argue that it's a safer experience with more focus on looking for road hazards and less focus on micro-managing my speed. Aural bliss!

I have navigation back after the first service and the bongs when i am a bit over 20mph in London!  However along the top of the display  where the tyre pressure TP and other monitors sit i now have an orange circle with a 1 in it. No idea what it means and nothing  i can find in the manual.

That orange dot is an indication that you have an item in the status menu. Select it and then the status menu will open and show you the list of items.
