So, testing the water since the last post of 2 1/2 months ago.
I am currently with Allianz, and my policy is due in one months time.
There are four drivers, ages 79 77 60 and 51. Northwest England, and no license points.
6000 miles per year, car stored on driveway. 22 registered EX model.
Last year I paid £454, this year they are looking at £418. They tell me in the renewal email, that they do not match other companies prices. Unprotected no claims discount of 60%.
Looks like a decent deal,….. but perhaps you know better!
So, an update from my original post.
I looked at the comparison sites, and of all the quotes listed, none came up cheaper.
So although my current insurer said that they do not match other prices, I delved into their site, to show me what I was covered for. I then found, that effectively, they seem to have three levels of cover on a comprehensive policy. My renewal, showed that I was on the most expensive level.
By removing car hire after a breakdown or accident, foreign breakdown recovery, and UK breakdown assistance, (which I have already got duplicated, with my bank account, and Honda servicing plan), I was able to renew, by clicking on the original email invitation, my reduced benefits policy.
£381 is the answer to your question!
