I've changed the plugs once, second time in the cars life. A bit of a pain to do re access, but straight forward. I also used Bosch plugs and saved a packet, and they work just fine.
We bought our Jazz at 82k with a full Honda history. I assume they did the valves as per schedule, but I've never done them. Car runs and sounds fine.
The oil and filter I change before schedule every 6 to 8k miles ish using decent 5w30 A5 oil. Blue Print filter are <£5ea from car parts in motion, so cheap to do! I think the car will still be going in another 100k easily enough. A robust car for sure.
Indeed, there was a member on here that ran a MK2 as a driving instructors car, and iirc that had c250k on the clock.
I have never been bothered by high mileage. Better a car that's been used and worked, than one that has just pootled about for 2k in my opinion. Lack of use will kill a motor.
The MK1 runs for ever too, they just sadly suffer from a lot more rust and cat thefts. That seems to bring them to an end way before the engine lets go. Solid old school Honda tech.
