I don't think it would kill the Honda e, because the same goes for the e:

the trend for batteries increasing in power density but tending to stay the same physical size,
If nothing goes right, go left!

When I
That's probably what form the Jazz Mk5 will take - it will, however, kill off the Honda E
I would love to know the sales numbers of the E.
I think it is basically a styling exercise. The dash-wide screen is ridiculous. Why do you want to drive a car with an aquarium on the dashboard. Battery distance is useless as is the Mazda EV unless you NEVER go further than your town boundaries.
Having ordered an HR-V My S/manager is pressing me to drive an E. It makes me wonder if he is trying to get me to buy an E instead, 'cos he isn't selling many?? I have yet to meet one on the road.

In addition to said before by other members, will be nice to have bigger capacity hybrid battery (to harvest more energy on long downhills), and gear selector from hybrid CR-V, hybrid power meter on dashboard.

This fits with the trend for batteries increasing in power density but tending to stay the same physical size,

We're now at the point of diminishing returns with Lithium based battery technologies. The big increases in capacity have mostly been found already. There are probably more efficient but much more dangerous battery chemistries out there.

The tea leaves suggest that some sort of hydrogen fuel use might be the next logical step, generated from some form of non combustion energy source. (Calling them "renewables" is a misnomer: they all ultimately depend on solar or gravitational energy.)

My trade-in Volvo let you activate the rear camera at up to 10-15mph going forwards - it was useful for driving into a space and seeing when you crossed the rear white line instead of having to put the car into reverse.

For a Mk. 5 Jazz

- A CrossStar that is actually 4x4
- An electric only version as well as a hybrid.
- RDMS that has a “warning only” mode
- Better Satnav, with traffic information
- Upgraded stereo optional on non-Crosstars
- Less insane wheel design
- Cooled seats
- A Type R and a Type Q version (a Type Q being a Type R that looks like a regular EX).
- An extra 12v socket in the boot

- Pogglefish

The next Jazz needs to have 'Safety' systems made safer.

I, or rather my wife would like (or better: she demands) a height-adjustable passenger seat.

I dig your comment, but would choose Renault 4 any day over a Dacha thingy.

French cars haven't been on my shortlist for many years now due to their shenanigans aimed at us.

I would also worry spare parts would be difficult the way they are going.
Let's be careful out there !

The lack of passenger height adjustment is what stopped me seriously considering a Crosstar, passenger seat is just too low for my wife’s back. Waiting to see an HR-V but now find that the HR-V doesn’t have a height adjustable passenger seat either! Seriously £30,000 for a car and they don’t even give the passenger a height adjustable seat? Whatever is Honda thinking? I’ve written to the CEO of Honda(UK) and am waiting an answer - which he has promised me.
