Great thread - but as someone who is seriously considering buying a Crosstar it would be very interesting to know your LEAST favourite thing about your Jazz?
In the Mk 3, the flimsy boot floor is disappointing after the one in the Mk2. I soon gave up on the infotainment system apart from the radio. But overall, I have no regrets after 5 years.

Passenger seat isn’t height adjustable. Slower than my old Tesla.

Would like a bigger battery and the option to plug in on the two days a year my home charger is working, but then I wouldn’t want to spend £30k on a Jazz either!

Tldr there’s nothing wrong with ‘em

Thank you - the two items I have identified are the lack of a height adjustable passenger seat (seems a miserly omission) and the rare tyre size. If I’m being picky I would like the option of a heated windscreen for those cold frosty mornings and the rapid demisting they provide on muggy evenings. However, overall I am warming more to the Crosstar - mind you until I have test driven one over a few hours it's all theory. Test drive to learn about the ride comfort over our “wonderful” roads, tyre and engine noise and just general refinement and ease of driving.

I’ve had my Mk4 Jazz for just over two weeks now, and so far I can’t say there’s anything to dislike. It does exactly what it says on the tin. The active driving aids are new to me, and have surprised me a few times with a sudden intervention, but they’re never illogical, so it’s just sth to get used to. I’m quickly learning how and when to use them.

There are however two things I didn’t expect from a (or any) brand new Honda. Firstly there’s the clear difference in panel gap on the left and right hand side of the bonnet. I noticed this when giving the Jazz it’s first wash. I won’t be returning my car over this, but I’m really surprised a made in Japan Honda has this issue... (I’ve always heard that Japan made Hondas are supposed to be the best?)

Secondly there’s the somewhat more annoying problem of rattling front windows when slightly open (no more than a few cm). Even on reasonably good road surfaces there’s the odd rattle. Once the windows are opened more than about 5 cm, the rattling stops. I’ve notified my dealer, who in turn notified Honda HQ. Currently I’m awaiting their reply.

My favourite thing about the Jazz is the fact that it doesn’t follow market trends (unlike the new Yaris) and stays true to it’s origins. Understated design, easy to use, compact and highly practical while also being nice, even fun, to drive.

If it was my new car I would certainly complain about the fit of the bonnet. Modern build systems should not permit uneven gaps. Is it possible that the bonnet has been refitted in the UK after a repair? Possibly damage during transit?

I agree. Very unusual to see an obviously different panel gap these days, should never be seen on a new car. Any pdi blemish repairs should be every bit as good as factory finish.

Cant say I’ve noticed odd panel gaps. Tesla had loads because they’re built on a Friday afternoon by union reps, but the Honda is rock solid - as you’d expect from a made in Japan car and the associated working practices  ;D

Thanks for the advice. I’ll take some pictures and send them to my dealer, see what they have to say...
Can’t speak for Honda UK, as I’m Belgian  ;D

If it's obviously different to the eye, I think I would - a bit disappointing, but a little adjustment might be all that's needed.

I've noticed the same "issue" with the windows too, but I've already got used to open them wider, so they don't rattle anymore.
Anyway the Jazz is so quiet that I don't like keeping the windows open as the wind noise is much louder, instead I use more the climate which works perfectly in auto.

Concerning the bonnet gap, mine too has a difference between left and right gap but it's barely noticeable, and it's the only place where I've found difference in the gaps, all the other passenger doors and trunk door are unexpectedly perfect (I've owned Italian and French car only befire the Jazz).

When you think of the thousands of parts in a car and the speed at which they assemble them they're doing pretty well if panel gaps are the only issue.
I'm sure that can be adjusted if it's too much.
It will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end !

It’s the difference between a hand assembled car of old and modern robot assembly lines. Robot assembly lines align body parts perfectly (within tiny tolerances) and the bonnet gap on either side should not be noticeably different to the eye. Body component gaps have been getting smaller and smaller over time and airflows smoothed, one result is lower wind noise and the other is improved aerodynamics.

I agree these are not major issues. The panel gap is something I can ultimately live with, but the rattling windows don’t belong on a brand new car in my opinion. Even if there’s an easy way to work around it  ;).

Another thing I noticed only yesterday, is that there are no lights in both sun visors. I checked the brochure, and it says they are standard on all Jazz models. That’s another email to my dealer  ???.
