Civic wheels on Mk1 Jazz
« on: March 29, 2016, 06:53:09 PM »
Does anybody know if Mk1/2 Civic wheels fit the Jazz?

I've checked and the earlier Civic has the same 4x100 PCD and 56.1 bore, but the Civic has a slightly higher offset range (35-45, compared to 35-38 on the Jazz). The Civic wheels I'm looking at are OEM 16", 6.5J and 45ET. Would the higher offset cause the wheels to sit too deep in the arches (and maybe rub)?

The Jazz is my partner's car. It came with 14" steel wheels, but I already replaced those with 15" Jazz alloys with Winter tyres (the set cost £150, which was cheaper than just buying winter tyres for the steelies). I figured she should have a Summer set and fancy putting 16"s on for her - but I want them to remain OEM as she's self enployed and the car needs to not look 'modified'

Any help would be great, as the auction ends in a couple of days. :)

Hey! have a look at this.. put in your existing size in there and the Civic wheel dimension and it will show what will happen.

Cheers for the link, will check the current ET of her 15" wheels when she gets home,to compare om that site.

Seen plenty of 15" but I'm really after 16" (15 for Winter tyres, but 16" for summer. Easier to change having 2 sets). ;)

Only thing about going up 2 inches in wheel diameter is you should also lose 2 inches in tyre side wall to keep the rolling radius the same, so you'll probably have to use 45 profile tyres.

I'm currently running 195/45 R16 but an looking to go to a 195/50 R16.

Factory tyre size on the newer Jazz is 185/55 R16...
