Changed my car
« on: March 12, 2016, 05:55:25 PM »
Hi,
Finally traded in my old 2005 1.2 for a 2011 cvt. The old one had 125,000 miles on it, had to replace ignition switch and one door lock before fitting remote locking. Two sets of rear brake discs, one rear wheel bearing, gearbox getting noisey, engine still running like new, 50 mpg, been a really good reliable car, hope the new one is as good. First impressions are, love the cvt gearbox, lots of detail improvements, fingers crossed,
Chris

Have you found the improved ride and engine revving at just 2k at motorway speeds?
Good choice of replacement Jazz

Hi,
Ride and noise levels much better, funny  if you maintain 70 mph watch the tacho going up and down (yes I do know why), I preferred the original roller blind boot cover as the access was better putting a wheelchair in. Not sure about the mpg, my old car returned 46-52 mpd, this one hasn't gone above 43mpg as yet. Only got 34,000 on the clock previously owned by a disabled lady so I will try putting higher octane petrol with cleaning additives in case it needs cleaning out. This 1.4 has noticably more power than my old 1.2 and I thought that was surprisingly good for its capacity. Noted lots of air bags etc. Safety much improved, steering wheel adjusts in two directions, rear doors open wider, seats are better, rear seat can be reclined, can play my i pod, yes I like it. PS found out the hard way you have to be in park to get the key out, thought I'd have to call honda assist, wotta prat. There is a good hondacare app. If you need it,
Chris
