My 2009 & 2012 Jazz ES cars and my MK3 2015 SE the parcel shelf rattled on to the plastic hatchback door cover and so on all 3 cars I put some self adhesive foam on the plastic above where the door cover extends around the rear wiper motor mechanism which cured the problem. On the 2015 Mk3 the sides of the parcel shelf catch an the shelf catches when hatch back is opened and then eventually drops down, I haven't sorted this yet I will try some WD40 first.

On all 3 cars I have kept the rear seat belts done up when not in use to prevent them knocking on the side moldings.

If you have a car jack and brace, and a spare wheel, ensure they are fastened securely.

My brand new ES+, developed a metallic clunk. When traversing the worst of Derbyshire's potholes.  >:(

It took me some time to realise, it was from the tailgate!

I loosened the two, (very tight), crosshead screws, holding the latch loop. Which I then tapped, a couple of mm closer in.

All is quiet, now.......  :)

Just to add to Stilldrillin, if you push the bottom of the tailgate in the middle in towards the front, if it needs adjustment as Stilldrillin states, you will feel the movement on the tailgate. I only say this as it is better to check this before undoing the bolts, to save  work. But it is a pretty good bet that this is the problem.

That was my method of testing, too......  ;)

I must add. You need to be purposeful, when undoing the soft crosshead screws. I used an impact driver.

Any half hearted attempt, will probably damage the screw slots......

They do not need to be screwed in, so tight, after adjustment.

Another potential source of noise is the rear seat backs where they lock in the upright position.
Open them, give the catches a light smear of oil and then close them hard.
