Apologies for not following the rules
« on: May 24, 2015, 04:47:05 PM »
It seems I have broken the rules by refering to a product by it's brand name. This was not intentional.

I was asking for any input about using a wax protection on alloy wheels.
The question was does anyone have any experience of using a protecting coat of a wax product after cleaning alloy wheels, as despite using a wheel cleaner, after rain the wheels become dirty very quickly.
Would appreciate any comments please.

Have I missed something here ?
Contributors on here mention brand names all the time, such as air filter makes or tyre manufacturers.

I can only see that your original post has been moved to "car care and detailing".
I just wash my wheels with good old water every couple of weeks and leather them dry. Yes they get dirty again, especially with brake dust, but cleaning them this way has never let me down in the last 28 years!!  :P

No rules were broken, the topic was simply moved to the car care forum as it is a more general topic. There are no rules forbidding mentioning product brand names. :)

If a topic is moved a "MOVED' topic is usually generated directing everyone to the new location. Because these can clog up the new posts feed I only create these for topics active in the last few days.

If you have trouble finding any of your posts, go to your profile and click on show posts and it will list all your posts starting with the most recent.
