I mostly only use it at work! As an aircraft eleccy on the line I often have several hours during the day between departures and arrivals again (like now!) The problem is at home - if the missus sees I've got nothing to do on my days off she'll find me jobs which she can't do cos she's "busy" on facebook.  :-X

I think I do have internet access at work but don't use it as part of my job and I know the IT department monitor internet access. I only visit this site at work via the Wi-fi in the staff restaurant during lunch or break.

Haha. I'd get found out boss as we are in same office. And I have to login under admin which is dodgy as head office surely have a log file somewhere.

But I have figured out that the company's computers store folders are all shared, so I can snoop on the entire country's desktop files and stuff they have, although it's really boring like staff rotas, or random disiplinarys.  :o :P

So under another subject has anyone else found stuff they shouldn't really have access to.

My wife works in HR at a fairly large company and they were worried about people going on EBay and facebook (and other more dodgy stuff  :-X) etc during company time (not just wasting company time, but risking virus's etc). I told her to have a word with IT dept who could either monitor this or put in measures to stop company computers accessing various sites,  but I said don't be surprised if some people are stupid enough to complain that they can no longer use (waste) company time and resources to get on these sites.  Sure enough dozens of people contacted HR to complain,  when it was pointed out to them they shouldn't be doing it anyway they were very indignant and went away muttering about human rights etc.   Surprising how many people think it is OK to use company property this way,  most companies have millions of pounds worth of documents and intellectual property stored on their systems,  too much at risk.   I know on my own company system people plug in 'promiscuous' USB sticks into their company network with no thought to what could be lurking on them.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot
