Head Light Bulbs

Has anyone fitted brighter H4 Bulbs and if they have are they any better? and which ones?

Yes they are a big improvement  -  Osram nightbreakers or Phillips X-Treme bright.  Nightbreakers probably a bit brighter but Phillips have a better beam pattern.  Go for the white,  although blue light bulbs look brighter from outside the car because human eye is sensitive  to blue colour, blue is absorbed and scattered more by water (fog and rain) and in UK that is important.  I use blue bulbs in my motorbike because they are eye-catching to sleepy car drivers in daylight, but rarely if ever ride at night or in bad weather.

Yes, Osram nightbreakers are excellent. Make a big difference over standard fitted ones.

I have Bosch H4 bulbs with 50% more light output, they seem to be brighter but then the other bulbs were 3+ years old.
Got them in Halfords on a buy one get one free deal so they were quite cheap.
I have Osram Nightbreakers fitted to my 4x4 they too seem to be quite a bit better than the stock bulbs I removed.
Bear in mind that the higher performance bulbs tend to have a shorter life.

Decent headlights anyway but osrams etc give that extra bit.

Agree with that 100%.

The first thing I did after buying my GG6 was fit Nightbreakers.  Not as good as HIDs in my old DC5 but for halogens they are a vast improvement.

i use halfords ultra brilliance bulbs they are 120% brighter ,i have used them for many years now and if you buy them at the right time you will get a buy 1 get 1 free,they are that different kath even noticed the difference.
