Honda Jazz workshop manual
« on: November 16, 2014, 04:54:03 PM »
I do enjoy most of the posts, often a lot of info can be obtained and has helped me considerably as a new Jazz owner. I am an 'anorak' as I like to know how something ticks. I have tried to avoid being a 'know all' and have tried to put up my experiences. I see that something that crops up is the question of a workshop manual for the 2008-2015 Jazz. I trawled E bay and Amazon finding only one offer. It was for a Jazz 2009. On receipt, despite all my efforts could not get it to open ( perhaps coming from Italy had something to do with it ) not helped by being computer illiterate. I wrote to the seller who gave me some hints but to no avail. I have however made progress and found it to be possibly an official Honda disc. Due to my inadequacies I cannot at this time get it to come up with an index. So I am writing down each reference which is something like 00000000001 etc I am at 000000000695   so far. I then put this reference into an HTML file and up comes the business eg. 0000000000450 How to troubleshoot the ABS. Files can contain many pages. It certainly covers a lot 000000000447 Resetting the power window control unit ( master switch ). I appreciate not everybody has the time or inclination to do this but in the absence of any other manual this does the trick. No blame can be laid at the door of the seller, I think the disc is worth it's cost and I anticipate it being a useful tool. If I want to be 'bloody' it's  a lot lot better than nothing.

This looks excellent. Hopefully you'll be able to share some of the contents with us when and where the opportunity arises.

Well, Padius Gladius, that certainly knocked the stuffing out of yours truly. Wish I had known about that one before I bought the disc. A quick look suggests the info is exactly the same as my disc BUT with all the work cut out trying to log everything.
Thanks for an excellent post and the reference.

I too bought the manual from Italy and I could not open it but PadiusGladius put me on the right road and since I have used this manual for quite a bit of reference. It is quite comprehensive and helpful.  Recently I wanted access to under the central console. Absolutely invaluable.   One suggestion if you anticipate removing ANY body trim buy yourself a 'set' of plastic trim removal tools. about a fiver, stops any damage to the plastic, which a screwdriver is pretty efficient at doing.  Only problem is for some unknown reason, now I can't print any of it. If I try Mozilla kicks it out!!!!!!!!!!!
