Rattling from rear of car - right hand side

The last couple of days I've noticed a metallic rattling sound from the rear of my Jazz on the driver's side. It only occurs when turning right - especially at roundabouts - and happens regardless of engine temperature.

As this is where the exhaust is located I'm suspecting a loose clip, bracket or perished rubber mount of some kind, or maybe a loose heat shield?

on my old ibiza when going round corners and dropping it in third gear the rattle was the ceramic inside the catalist  crumbling

First off try removing all the items in the boot, one vehicle we had even come with a spare wheel nut which pinged around the wheel well. Then find an assistant to drive whilst you lie in the bot area to try and locate the source

It's definitely coming from outside the car, people are started to stare!

Suspension linkage?  Brake components or pipe securing brackets?  Isn't there also a hollow section within the back bumper, maybe something got in.

if it has started suddenly I would suspect exhaust system - the joint between pipe and back box failed on my wifes GD and actually didn't notice too much difference in exhaust noise level,  but was a rattling sound.

Well, you have enough choices now.  The exhaust system suggestion is a good one and worth a look

I had my Dad sit in back (ex mechanic) and he thought the sound was coming from the rear passenger side wheel. I knew the rear brake pads were due to be changed soon (58k miles, original pads) so I had them done and the noise has gone. Cost? £66 at an independent garage.

I was surprised it was the rear brake pads judging by the racket and that it didn't occur during braking.

Glad you got it fixed. Think rear pads are 15 mins a side.
