The gearbox issue is worrying me though.
gearbox bearing issue only affected a couple of early years production, (2002 and 2003) and was a bad batch of bearings rather than an out-and-out design fault. My wifes 53 plate Jazz started to whine at about 70K but mine was still OK at over 100K, I put it down to fact that she did a lot more local mileage than I did and used low gears more, (suspect bearing was on layshaft for gears 1 , 2 and 3 ) whereas mine were longer runs using 4th and 5th gears more.
