Honda Jazz -06. Completely dead the alive..
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:17:34 PM »
Hi,

My life as a Honda Jazz owner has been very satisfying, but a couple of weeks ago when I should remotely open the car locks nothing happened. I opened the door by the key and turn the ignition on, nothing.... not even a sound.
I checked the battery and the cables nothing strange there. The car was still dead, radio and clock nothing worked.
The day after I tried again and the car started like nothing had been wrong.

This situation has occurred three more times after.

Anyone who has any idea on what might be wrong?

One of my friend had this issue before but not on a Jazz but its on a Colt.

it turns out one of the cable - i think it is earth one its loose or the battery its on top of it (dont know why it will stop working)

I think you can just get a meter to check out the battery while it happens. then it will tell you something.

also if this happen. get a cable and borrow one of your neighbour's car and see if it jump start.

This will tell you if it is the battery.

Good luck.

Take the earth cables off and rub with sandpaper to refresh the surface of the metal and put it back.  I've had similar problems with all Hondas I've owned and this sorted them out.
The AA did this to one Honda I had and it sorted it all out.   So simple.
