Hi, my name is Steve and this is my first Honda Jazz. I was lucky to find a clean example and purchased it just after Christmas 2011.
It's a 2002 Jazz 1.4S GD1, one owner from new, full service history and only 26,000 miles on the clock.
29th December 2011:
Purchased my Jazz from my local Honda dealership.
30th December 2011:
Gave the car a bit of a clean...
13th January 2012:
Purchased some new FK Automotive Lowering Springs (to reduce the arch gap and stiffen the ride slightly).
14th January 2012:
Fitted the new -35mm Springs.
22nd January 2012:
Fitted my 7"x15" ET30 Rota RB's and 195/50/15 Toyo R888's (off of my old Toyota Levin) to check if they fit.
25th January 2012:
Made my own front Camber Bolts and installed them.
Before (front tyres protruding from the arches):
After (tucked nicely inside, no more rubbing):
26th January 2012:
Took my car to my local tyre fitters to have the front suspension laser aligned (to my own settings).
Here are my figures...
FrontTotal toe: -2.0mm (Toe Out)
Half toe: -1.0mm (Toe Out)
Camber: -1.75 degrees
Rear*
Total toe: +1.0mm (Toe In)
Half toe: +0.5mm (Toe In)
Camber: -1.15 degrees
* = Note: I didn't have the rear adjusted as its a fixed beam axle.
There isn't much else i want to do to the car really, maybe fit a K&N panel filter, change the head unit for a CD version and add some speakers to the rear doors.
Apart from that, i'm just going to enjoy her... It's a treat for me to get 50+ mpg, my previous car (a JDM Toyota Levin) only gave me an average of 25mpg, lol.
Thanks for looking,
Steve.
