Nearly new owner...
« on: May 23, 2011, 11:26:26 AM »
Hello - I'm collecting the Jazz I'm in the process of buying on Thursday.  Really looking forward to it.  She will be replacing my 11 year-old Saxo that I'd had from new and parked in a ditch on 1 May.  Jazz is 03 plate but lovely; clean and low mileage so I'm happy.  Just got to get used to driving an Auto after 40+ years of changing gears!  :-\

My Jazz will be about 3 years newer than the Saxo I wrote off but the owner is well past her prime unfortunately!  (Not that I know when my prime was...  :(
When I went for a test drive it wasn't only the left foot that was lost - my hand kept going to the gear lever.  I just need to ensure I don't go into neutral approaching a corner I suppose.
I need to find out about the gears on the steering column - that will be a mystery worth knowing about.  Do they come into their own when going up mountains or towing?  Not that I will be towing - I sold my caravan just before I pranged the Saxo.
