Confused about AC Compressor replacements 2006 Fit GD1 (JDM)

I'm trying to replace my AC compressor so that my AC works before a road trip this summer, but a little confused on what type I need to buy.

I found one site saying its a 38810PWAJ01. Another website said 38810PWAJ12. Apparently the J01 vs J12 is just an updated model, but not sure how much I trust that info. Other sources say a 38810PWAJ02 should work since its a newer model of the J01. The J02 is supposedly interchangable with a 38810PWA006 which was used in the NA vehicles, so I can actually find without importing.

All of this conflicting info has got me pretty worried about buying the right part, so any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Maybe too obvious a question, but are you sure it is the compressor you need to replace? It might also be just a relay switch or something else that’s simpler and cheaper. Can you elaborate on the diagnosis?
