I have a blue beam metallic EX, and it suffers from insect poo. Unfortunately, the Honda paintwork is abysmal. It is soft and has no resistance to insect or bird boo if left too long. If you remove the top surface stain, there will always be a blemish underneath that is visible under certain light/closer examination. I wash my car frequently (once every 6 weeks), using Autoglym. I also wax it after a wash using Autoglym Aqua wax or sometimes Meguiars, all in the hope of adding some shell of protection... yet all in vein. I have tried a few T-cut brands to try and polish out these blemishes, but the paint is so weak that the mere hint of T-cut leaves swirl marks. The black roof is the worse area for this. I have never known the inside cup of door handles mark so easily on a car before too.. and neither of us wear rings or have long finger nails!
All my previous cars (Renaults) never suffered from this, the last being the Valencia orange. The last 4 cars all having eco friendly water based paintworks too.
I did have cause to get a Dent doctor in (after a trolley ding), and he said that Honda are one of the hardest to repair because the metalwork (dent wise) is thin, and the paint (chip/scratch) repair very soft.
