Bye bye Jazz
« on: April 24, 2026, 09:20:24 PM »
Hi everyone I’ve just changed my 2023 mk4 Jazz for a new 2026 E-Hrv Advance in Black Crystal Pearl,
The Jazz has been an amazing vehicle and probably the best car I’ve ever owned with its faultless reliability, comfort and economy.
Unfortunately our needs have changed as we get older I’m 77 and SWMBO is 71 and has severe arthritis and many other problems which made for awkward access into and out of the car, these issues are solved with the Hrv due to it’s larger size and extra height it’s so much easier and much more comfortable than the Jazz.
So far we are currently averaging around 56mpg on our first full tank so not as good as the Jazz but acceptable, it is however very much quieter and ride’s well on its 18” wheels, so for now I will hang around on this forum as the Hrv one is virtually dead.

My records show that overall the HR-V is about 15% thirstier. I agree that the HR-V is more comfortable but the smaller Jazz feels more nimble. The HR-V has a bigger HV battery with lower likelihood of becoming full when going down a long hill.
