Hello,
I recently bought a 2012 Fit Hybrid import. It's my 2nd ever Honda as many years ago I owned a very sporty 2.0i Honda Accord.

There is one near me.  You can see that it used to have the square Japanese registration plate on the rear.  Two  holes are visible  where the bottom  two screws went.  I would  try to cover or  block them to  prevent water ingress.
