No simple answer I am afraid................

In theory yes, as you will have lowered the centre of gravity which directly translates to less weight transfer so more evenly loaded tyres.

However suspension is always a compromise. Lower means less travel which generally means stiffer springs which isnt always a good thing.

My experience of the Jazz is that it isnt balanced in respect to understeer / oversteer. The car under steers badly so increasing grip on the front (softer front bar, more negative camber or stiffer rear in roll) would be my first starting point.

The site fitfreak has lots on suspension tuning if you can be bothered to trail through it all. Though beware they seem to favour low and stiff which is quite a compromise for UK roads.

If you go for Eibach springs and a good set of dampers then I am sure you will see an improvement.

Hi john

Thanks for the Tip - i have already bought brand new set of 4 new Uni Royal Rainsport 2 Tyres
and already purchased FK LOWERING SPRINGS KIT HONDA JAZZ (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FK-LOWERING-SPRINGS-KIT-HONDA-JAZZ-01-35MM-/320524774877?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa0c3eddd)

Would the below dampers do the job?

Be aware that with a full load of passengers, an unmodified Jazz will ground on some UK speed cushions (the square-ish speed bumps).

I have Tein S-tech's fitted to my jazz and they are very good, although my dampers need changing now.

No beacause of the springs, just that the car has don 145,00 miles.

The only option of new dampers is Honda, bilstein or Monroe. Unless you get some from the USA.

The car will still understeer if pushed hard, but lowering it does make a difference. No had much problems with it grounding out.
