Air vent mangled
« on: October 19, 2023, 03:56:07 PM »
Hi guys,
Managed to ruin both my air vents by pushing phone holder in and out. (Yes indeed, what a numpty).
Need to repair before it gets too cold. Is there an easy way to pull them out? Grateful for tips. Pic here ...

There's a really useful Manual for your Jazz here, it appears to be a 5 min task.
I would get another couple from your local breakers yard or even try E bay for someone breaking any early model Jazz

You can get windscreen mounted phone holders, save the vents. :D

Something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/APPS2Car-Windscreen-Dashboard-Rotatable-Compatable/dp/B08FR2N98P/ref=asc_df_B08FR2N98P/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=475488379095&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8434534410351577361&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9180723&hvtargid=pla-1027616878240&psc=1

I see from the photo, the vents are flat at the rear. Might you not be able to tease these back into action with a long thin flat blade screwdriver? Just a thought.

Sorted now, thanks for the tips. I managed to  pull the vents out and (eventually) reseat each flap. Will look at alternative phone solution.😅
