Alarm & immobiliser
« on: September 07, 2023, 11:50:46 AM »
Hi, I’m just doing a new insurance quote ( jazz crosstar 2022 ) and can’t remember if alarm & immobiliser are Thatcham approved. The handbook is not helpful and I can’t get on Thatcham site at the minute. I can pick factory fitted but would like to know if it’s Thatcham approved or not as I can’t remember if I’ve seen this somewhere. Thanks

I locked the doors from the outside when leaving my partner on her own in the car.

She helpfully unlocked the driver's door from the inside when I returned. The alarm went off and I got an alert on my phone.

Oops!

The alarm and immobiliser meets Thatcham requirements, but as they are standard fitment, you would not receive any further discounts/benefit when doing insurance quotes as they are already considered in the vehicles insurance rating.
