Radio/ Navigation code following battery replacement.

I need to replace the battery on my 2016  1.3 Ex Navi 5 door Jazz.

Can not find the Navigation/ radio codes in the documentation.

Reluctant to pay dealer for the codes.

Any other suggestions?

On newer models the headunit is authenticated by the ECU so probably no code needed.

Correct, from the manual.

Reactivating the audio system

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON

2. Turn on the audio system.

3. Press and hold the audio system power button for more than two seconds.

The audio system is reactivated when the audio control unit establishes a connection with the vehicle control unit. If the control unit fails to recognise the audio unit, you must go to a dealer and have the audio unit checked.

Hello. Just following up on this. Did you find that you needed a code in the end?
Or was the new radio recognised by the ECU without issue?

This is all about replacing the battery. The radio code is stored in the car's ECU so the car and radio always match irrespective of the battery. If, however, you replace the radio then obviously the stored code won't match the code needed by the radio.
