Better Reversing Lights?
« on: July 01, 2023, 05:19:31 PM »
I have had the current 2009 Jazz for about a year and have never been that impressed with the reversing lights. This is odd because my previous car was 2009 Jazz although with much higher mileage and its reversing lights were adequate.

After a hairy exit from a dark car park recently, I've taken a closer look...

1. Both bulbs are "working"
2. At a glance, you can tell by the colour that they are tungsten
3. Spec is 21W and comparing them with the illuminated indicator nearby, it seems likely that my reversing lights are 21W and not faulty

So is there a LED equivalent that will chuck out about twice as much light?

Thanks!

I'm sure there is. Check the handbook for the bulb type (eg P21W) or remove a bulb from the vehicle and then search the 'bay for an LED equivalent. The bulbs with LEDs on the end as well as the side are probably best for this application. Something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354225303284 .
