Maybe because of this they don't mention DAB+:

As of 2022, 55 countries are running DAB services.[3][4] The majority of these services are using the upgraded DAB+ standard, with only the UK, New Zealand, Romania, Brunei Darussalam, and the Philippines still using a significant number of original DAB services.

Correct! Same with Jazz FM.

And Boom Radio sounds "thin" on DAB+ if you compare with its internet stream.

The Jazz Mk4 has a DAB+ receiver.
Is that true? I can't find any information in the Jazz manual about the DAB system used. Also, I haven't been able to find GB News, which is only broadcast on DAB+.
Apparently it's on the Digital One multiplex. If you can get Classic FM, you should be able to get it (if they're still broadcasting).

EDIT: Just checked. It's in Digital One, immediately below Classic FM, and I definitely heard someone talking.

I could be totally wrong .........

This site seems to be saying that some DAB stations are DAB+ only.

https://www.digitalradiochoice.com/questions/what-is-dab-plus/

In that list is Heart 70's 80's and 90's

If they are DAB+ only then :

Let's be careful out there !

I often listen to Boom Radio, and that's DAB+ only.

So does the blue light at the bottom that says "DAB"  on Uk cars say  "DAB +"   in other countries?

Does having DAB+ capability add so much to the cost of the hardware that Honda go to the trouble of fitting cheaper radios  in some cars, including all trim levels in the UK.  ?    Why havnt they included it on higher spec models to justify some of the price hike.

Or is it because DAB+ is not considered a significant enough selling point in the UK to bother changing the English language  sales blurb.
My IQ test came back negative

What the hell is going on with DAB in the UK?
Here in Italy the sound quality of DAB radios is far superior than FM.
All the major radios still streams both, so when DAB coverage drops (very rarely in my area) and the radio switch automatically on FM, I realize it by how it sounds, rather than looking on the display.

I have a question about this topic, does anyone knows how how to remove stations from favourites? By holding over them I can only add, but never found a way to remove them.

Does any menu come up to delete if you hold the preset you don't want for a few seconds? If not just overwrite with repeats of your selection so wherever you are on the screen another favourite is not far away.

That's exactly what I've done, the funny thing is that if you hold on a station which is already on the favourite, it gets saved another time in the favourite.

Interesting

I looked through the newer HRV and Civic literature and nowhere is DAB+ mentioned
I worked at the company responsible for putting in the UK DAB infrastructure. DAB+ was never adopted in the UK due to cost and politics. The Government did a big push to get people to buy expensive DAB receivers and were then worried that it would look very bad for them a few years later to say that people now had to incur further cost and buy a new DAB+ radio. They also wouldn't cover the significant cost of upgrading all the masts. So DAB+ was only ever rolled out in a few test areas. So we are stuck with crappy outdated DAB tech.
Other European countries including France and Germany went with DAB+, which is why I guess it's in their manuals and not the UK one.

The whole ensemble concept is very confusing for everyday users. People just want to find and store stations. Exposing them to the underlying technicalities of different area muxes is just confusing.

I don't understand that. Why doesn't my kitchen radio locate talksport 2 yet the jazz parked outside the kitchen window does. Also, from digital radio choice " The switch to DAB+ for talkRADIO and talkSPORT 2 was announced by the station in June 2020." "If you decide to purchase a new digital radio always check that it will receive DAB+ stations. This can be verified by looking for the digital radio tick mark logo".

I was recently going to get a new DAB radio to replace my ageing Pure One but instead opted for a Google Nest Mini.

Not exactly the same in operation, uses an Internet connection, but the sound is amazing from a tiny 'blob'
