Honda launches Jazz Hybrid
« on: August 26, 2010, 09:13:05 PM »
The long-awaited hybrid version of the Jazz will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show in September and will go on sale in early 2011. Power will come from the 87bhp 1.3 litre petrol engine from the Insight and mated to a CVT gearbox. As with the Insight and Civic hybrid, the Jazz hybrid can run solely on electric power under short distances.

External changes include blue-tinted headlights, new grille and front bumper, clear rear taillights and the option of a striking new colour - Lime Green. Inside, the interior gets bluely dials and optional leather upholstery.

No official MPG or CO2 figures have been released as yet, but it's expected to beat the Insight's figures of 64.2mpg and 101g/km of CO2. If the Jazz hybrid hits or scrapes under the magic 100g/km CO2 barrier it will qualify for zero road tax.
