The problem I find with all these windscreen coatings is 5hat as soon as you need to use the wipers it gets removed off fairly quickly.

I only use my rain repellent Invisible Glass on the non swept glass.
Let's be careful out there !

I have used Rain-X and it seemed great in the daylight but as soon as it was dark I realised what a problem I had given myself. The windscreen was all streaky and visibility was compromised. Took weeks to get it off the windscreen using petrol and abrasive cleaners. I wouldn't even try it.

It's not something I've tried. I have noted on the MK2, that the unswept area next to the A post on the RHSide is quite large. Might be worth treating that area. If you do, please do report your findings.  :D

Reading all the reports about these rain repellents and the difficulty of removing them when they start to degrade I’d be very wary of putting anything on the screen.
Get it as clean as possible with glass cleaners, Barkeepers Friend or whatever and then leave well alone.
A clean screen and good wipers is all you need.
