Hi everyone i was wondering if you could help me.  ::) I have a 2006 Jazz, which does not have remote central locking. It all started with my drivers side door, it suddenly stoped working, so i started using the passenger side to unlock all doors..

Few months down the passenger one failed. Which left me to use the boot lock mechanism to unlock all doors through central locking. However today this also decided to let me down. Which has left me in a pickle. I have been meaning to repair the locks, but due to work commitments i havent had the time.

I have researched to no success, apart from its a common problem?

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ricci

My drivers lock was getting unreliable. The key was difficult to turn.

I squirted oil into the key hole and moved the key in and out a few times and it cured the issue.

I`ve the same problem on the drivers door lock, oil doesn`t help. Very difficult to push the key in the hole and impossible to turn it.

To overcome this problem buy a keyless entry fob normally no more than £20 quid off ebay.

To code the key fob to your car put the key in the ignition and swith it to the second position, then press teh lock button on the fob, return to start position adn repeat 3 times this will configure the fob to your car then everytime you want to open the door use the fob.  Ooh and I've just saved you £90 quid   that Honda charge for "programming you fob" cheques in the post please.
