true but it shows me that the system is really up to date. When you tap on the sound symbol you can change the way it talks to you. So you do not need to go into the settings, you can change it on the active screen (but you can also change it in the settings).

- Tap the sound icon
- Select your sound preference:
Normal: Get all navigation guidance and alerts
Less chatty: Get essential navigation guidance and alerts only
Only alerts: Get alerts only
Off: No sounds at all

I have it on Less chatty.

Emp: Yes, my HERE live traffic info started working again after I had tried Google maps on Apple CarPlay, and then reverted to the phone WiFi hotspot. The problem must have been my clumsiness!

today I tried HERE using the phone's Wi-fi hotspot for real time traffic information and attaching the cable to the phone so I can get Android Auto via the cable. Was working good. Just need to do some extra work like 1) activating the Wi-fi hotspot on your phone 2) connect the audio system of the vehicle to your phone's hotspot by selecting the hotspot in General Settings, Connections. The HERE navigation now shows the traffic information logo highlighted (or not greyed out) so you know it is working.

Working good, HERE maybe looks a bit more professional (than WAZE). But then HERE will not give you information about speed cameras etc. So I probably stick with WAZE for now.

I was using WAZE a few days back and the road was entirely blocked close to my home but it didn't show it. I drove to the blockade to check and notified WAZE about it but the next day it still did not know about it. But it was officially announced by the government so GOOGLE MAPS NAVIGATION knew about it. Also HERE navigation probably knew about it but I didn't test it because I forgot the sequence needed to activate real time traffic information.

So here I write the steps down again (as a refence for myself  :) ).

also this link posted by @Steve_M is useful: https://www.techinfo.honda-eu.com/sites/default/files/2024-05/here-navigation-services-and-updates.pdf

So if you want to use real time traffic info in the built-in HERE navigation in your car these are the steps to follow.

1) use USB cable to attach the phone to the car. This enables you to use Android Auto (or Apple Carplay) simultaneously
2) turn on the WIFI hotspot on your phone. Activating the WIFI hotspot will turn off the WIFI cliënt-modus on phone. So now the phone cannot receive WIFI. Therefor you need the USB cable to use Android Auto (Apple Carplay) simultaneously.  It asks for confirmation to turn off the WIFI cliënt.
3) in the settings of the car chose NETWORK instead of WIFI
4) in the settings of the navigation system, online services should go on automatically (check if it is on). If you are subscribed to online services (which was by default in my car) then this step will be automatic if step 2 and 3 are done before. So step 4 you can ignore when you are already subscribed.

Now you have real time traffic info on HERE navigation, plus you can also use Android Auto (Apple Carplay) via the USB cable
