Where to buy replacement wheel bolts
« on: January 25, 2026, 09:54:29 PM »
I would like to see if I can replace the 4 locking wheel bolts on my Jazz with regular wheel bolts like the other 12 bolts.

I did this on my previous Nissan Note when an incompetent tyre fitting garage screwed the locking bolts on beyond their specified torque.  It was impossible to get them off again, and when I tried, I used so much force that I ended up stripping the metal of the locking pattern.  I had to go to a specialist garage where they literally hammered the bolts off with breaker bar.  So I replaced them with regular wheel bolts.

Does anyway know the size and specification of the wheel bolts on a Jazz, and anywhere that sells them?  I believe I've got the original Honda allow wheels on my Jazz Mk 2.

Original wheel nut Honda part number 90304-SA5-013 is available from many sources both new and used. Thread is M12x1.5.

Honda wheels usually use wheel bolts  with  spherical (rounded )seats  rather than the more common coned/tapered  type.  But some alloy wheels might use a different seating.  So make sure to get the same as the other 3 bolts  (even if they are genuine Honda.  )

If you decide to buy 'after market' bolts of the  correct size and type  you might still find the  bolt head doesnt quite  match the other 3 visually, maybe a zinc finish, or protrudes a bit further from the wheel  etc.   (But  locking bolts or not an exact match either)  . In this case it may be less obvious if you use all 4 new bolts on a single wheel, using the 3 old bolts on the other wheels.
On the other hand a slightly different looking conventional bolt might  give the appearance of being a locking nut of some kind.  Although, , standard Honda  mk2 alloys may not be at great risk of theft anyway these days   (Due to their  limited fitment and typically honest owners   :D

Just small kind note that Honda Jazz has wheel nuts, not bolts.

I bought generic zinc coated wheel nuts off ebay.  You want the type with "radius" seats, not the taper kind.  Cant remember the thread size, but just do a search for "honda jazz".  Its easier getting wheel nuts rather than bolts as you dont have to worry about the length of the bolt.
