Why would his insurance be void?
If you tell the insurance company, there won't be a problem.
My old Civic EP2 track car had all its airbags removed. It was fully insured and legally passed every MOT.

1. I assumed insurance coy had not been told.
2.Anyone removing air bags from a car used on the road is reducing driver safety. Insurers are unlikely to accept a less safe car.

What you do is up tpo you.

I assume the airbag warning light has been disconnected . If it has, a fail.

Our law is like this. If you have a TÜV/ABE you can mount the part and it has nothing to do with the insurance.
Regarding the safety. I use my Jazz only in town where I work, live and I'm picking my kids on my way home. So from point A - B is like 12 km +/- and speed limit is all the way 50 km/h.

I know this is not an smart answer to airbag delete but that's the way it is. I'm most careful, watching my mirrors, taking care for kids safety,... That's it.

There was no stupidity like LED light delete, cutting wires and bull like this. That is why I bought boss kit spec. for GD1 with airbag. Period! DAIKEI kit has everything.

RED - extra wire for horn button
YELLOW - airbag resistor
Those two parts are connected to airbag squib so everything is by the book.

Could you please take some pics of the underside of the spoiler / the part that is mounted to the car, specifically
showing the bolt holes. ?

I have bought a similar CF "Spoon" replica spoiler, but it came without template or instructions, and there are
no holes drilled in it, so i have to figure out both where to drill the spoiler, but also the hatch....

I assume i will have to put some kind of treaded bosses in the spoiler, or does the bolts "tread" directly into
the CF. ?

Any help & pics appreciated.

/ John

Yes, i have bought a roll of 3M tape, but fixing the spoiler with just the tape would leave me looking in the
rearview mirror all the time, checking if i lost the spoiler....

ONLY 3M tape? You must be joking? If s**t fell off on car behind...

OK. Fit's like s**t, looks cool n' big but after some adjustment I think it will be just ok.... For 180 €.

@John

3 bolts/washers (I'll go to inox) , metal thread inserts in wing, 2 extra holes for 'have no idea'...

Thanks for the pics, that helps me a little, mine is for a GE model, so the part that goes against the
hatch looks a little different.

Can you see if the tread inserts are laminated into the spoiler, or they have been put in after the
spoiler was made. ?

2 extra holes... wires for a 3. brakelight maybe, or to cover mounting holes / bosses from a stock
spoiler on some of the USDM Fit's, - who knows.

We still have a lot of snow & it is freezing outside, so i will not be mounting the spoiler until spring, and
for the 3M tape they recommend at least 10deg.C for optimal adhesion.

I've not used the 3M tape but know they fitted the door garnishes with it.  Some spoilers i have seen on eBay have said fit with 3M tape, but i was dubious too.

Pardon me for being rude but I thought owners added spoilers to their cars to warn following drivers there was an incompetent at the wheel?
