In my opinion, Mapy.com is the best offline navigation. And it's not because it's from the Czech Republic.
The best graphics of all. Declared the best for walking in the world.
I've been using it for years, I had HERE WeGo a long time ago, but since they sold it, it's gotten incredibly worse, I still have it on my phone out of nostalgia and as a backup.
Someone says that the disadvantage of Mapy.com is that registration is required - an account must be created. But that is also its advantage. I can plan routes and waypoints on my PC on a large display, save them and then easily transfer and synchronize them with my mobile phone or tablet. It also works the other way around - what I create on my mobile phone while traveling is then synchronized back to my account - which I can access from anywhere.
I can create folders and place routes, points, photos in them. The navigation works completely offline, but when I connect it online, it notifies me of closures, etc. I can also send or share routes and waypoints with other people.
Frequent map updates.
Until recently, it was completely free for all world maps. It will be available for a fee starting around autumn 2024.
Navigation is still free + one map of your choice (which can be changed at any time) is still free.
For an unlimited number of countries, an amount of about 10 EUR per year is very acceptable.
Maps can be added either by country name or just parts of them - by selecting them from the map.
Unfortunately, it cannot be installed directly into Jazz (although there is a software installer), although it might work - Mapy.com works on Android 8 and above (Jazz has 8.1).
The only option is via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
I don't like
the navigation in Jazz at all and compared to Mapy.com it's an unbelievable difference.
