NGK are original fitment I believe, however I replaced with Bosch plugs as they a whole lot cheaper. Working just fine. Sadly they are a real faff to replace due to location, but I managed it!  ;)

I replaced NGK with Bosch at 50k,
No difference in mpg over two years.

My understanding is the plugs are good for 100k km or 60k miles. I changed mine recently after watching a few you tube videos, and it was very straight forward. Yes, you have to remove the wiper motor and metal scuttle, but it only takes a few minutes and looks a lot worse than it is. Plus, worn plugs will cause a coil pack to fail faster, and plugs are cheaper than coil packs.

I didn't notice any difference in MPG, our car always does 50+. Unless the temps drop below 5c or so, when it dips to very late 40's. Thrifty wee motor.  :D

Just a heads up , remember there are a lot of fake plugs on auction sites,  especially iridium types which tend to be more expensive so better profits for the fakers.
I always buy such items from trustworthy known suppliers,  for example sparkplugs.co.uk or gsparkplug.com (other similar suppliers available).

Very wise words as ever Embee. Sadly the market is awash with fakes. I bought my plugs from https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/ I've bought a lot of stuff of them over the years, and always found them to be spot on. Even so, I checked the print on the boxes and plugs to make sure they were the same as old ones I've kept in the garage!

I have heard that even main dealers have trouble with fake parts. Supply chains are known to have issues and counterfeit items find their way in. A big industry with a lot of money to be made by nefarious types.

Just thought if it would be possible to ask for the part number for your BOSCH spark plugs, as I am looking to replace my at nearly 100k miles (just got my 2013 HONDA JAZZ GG5 recently). Found one with part number of FR7KII33X (0242236599), way cheaper than NGK ones. cheers

Compared with the NGK one for my jazz (gg5), I found the specs for BOSCH one and NGK one are different at electrode gap (1.1 mm vs. 1.3 mm) and spark position (4 mm vs. 3.5 mm). Just wondered if you found these differences on your plugs and adjust them? cheers

modern plugs come gapped , i used NGK, dearer but the originals were in good shape after 70000 miles so i went  with them, not a job you do very often, so best to go for like for like, i thought.

Just a thought, Bosch are a name only company, NGK plugs are mass produced as copies forgeries.
Buy your car parts from a real motor factory who guarantees authenticity.

Just a note.
I've found Denso are quite often significantly cheaper than NGK like for like when buying from genuine reputable retailers. Not always,  need to check each application.
