Honda Jazz 2016 Limited Edition Head unit Hidden Menu
« on: July 30, 2024, 11:04:28 AM »
Hi guys,

I just wondering do any one having the same head unit I've got and not sure it's there any hidden menu in it. I saw a lot of ways to get into the hidden menu but not for this model.

Additional, the clock function has been deactivated for some reason. It shows faded in the menu. Any way to bring it back?

This probably isn’t going to be much help, but that doesn’t look like the original unit (at least, it’s not either of the types fitted to UK-spec cars). Maybe the “Limited Edition” models had a unique head unit? Or maybe a previous owner replaced it? If the latter, it’s possible the replacement unit doesn’t integrate properly with the car, which might explain why you can’t get at the clock … does it display other car-related functions, such as mpg and parking sensors? Whatever the reason for it being different, you probably need to find a manufacturer's name and model reference and search for that.

This is probably not what OP wants to hear but with the time and effort required to unlocked these hidden menus and so forth, I would think it's far easier to spend the 1-2 hours and replace the unit for something more modern.

It's like trying to unlock a NES in the age of a PS5.

I'm the first hand owner for this car & you are right, the "Limited Edition" really give me a lot of troubles. The headunit is the original unit & integrated with parking sensor. I was going to change the headunit but found out there's no any compatible sockets/ISO harness to connect to the original rear camera & parking sensor. I may need to rewired everything if I need to replace a to date headunit.

So, kind of giving up for doing that. That's why start to look for any hidden menu to bring back the clock at least.

This is the same unit in my car https://stwins.com.au/product/2017-honda-jazz-radio-cd-dvd-sat-tv-display-unit-non-sat-nav-type-gf-gk-08-17-12-20-250647/?v=322b26af01d5

Anyway, appreciate your respone on this.  :)

I like how you use NES  on this. Haha. But Thanks!

Please take a look at this thread: https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=16719.45

The Joying works with the factory connections and even the factory reverse camera and parking sensors.
