Clear radio memory
« on: June 24, 2024, 07:24:01 PM »
HI,
Has anyone discovered how to delete stored stations from the display?
For example, I have 10 stations stored and now I would only like 4.
Is it possible to do this in new cars?
Thanks for the info
(Sorry for the errors, I used Google Translate)

You can overwrite by tuning and holding the button till it changes. Either store the last 8 programs as the 4th, or repeat the 4 you want three times to fill the spaces, or try storing a frequency with nothing transmitted, through never having tried this I doubt it would work :-)

I also have not yet found any way to delete saved radio stations. :( Feels like bad design if it is not possible. Saving the same station many times, like this (ABCDDDDD), is not fun because if you cycle the saved stations from the steering wheel buttons, then you have to cycle through the same station many times.

A better workaround could be to save the stations this way: (ABCDABCD). Then it should work almost as if there were just 4 stations stored.

I've had an occasional problem when the car has not been used for a while it forgets all the station pre-sets and I have to put them in again (ie the opposite problem to everyone else!). If you want to change a preset you just save the new channel to the number of the one you don't want any more.

I have one station that I seem to have accidentally added twice, but can't seem to delete it. Not sure how I added it actually, didn't think I'd changed anything for about 18 months.

In fact, that's exactly the problem.
when you add a position it can no longer be deleted,
I have memorized 10 stations and I can no longer delete them,
I would like to keep only 4 but there seems to be no turning back.

You can perform a factory reset and wipe them all

The problem is that it wipes everything so take notes of all headunit settings
Let's be careful out there !

I don't know how to do a factory reset, but it's definitely not a convenient solution, let's say it's the last solution.
but it is certainly a serious flaw in the radio's software.

When the car was new the radio pre-sets would have been tuned to a frequency that was not being broadcast on.  If you now have a radio station that you don't want go to an empty frequency and save that.

On my Crosstat radio the dispalyed radio staions on screen are those I want in order, anything else has to be searched for by roght/left arrows and if i do not want to listen to just ignore or tune to what others in cr want to hear.

Not sure what the problem is really?
