The car already has an immobiliser which operates seamlessly in the background, not sure why you might need a kill switch as well? If you use the type that completely shuts off the electrics, you’ll lose anything that uses power when the ignition's off such as the alarm and radio settings (eg you’ll have to restore the radio pre-sets every time). Not sure what it might do to the rest of the car’s computers and systems but it could be significant. If you really want to do it, consult a good auto electrician.

I wouldnt risk it on a modern car.  They typically use the cars  wiring loom to communicate data   between the various  computers and sensors in the car.  Its called CANbus  . (controlled area network)

Also a hidden switch doesnt prevent a determined thief from smashing a window, damaging locks, wiring etc  in an attempt to steal the car.      A more visual deterrent such as a steering wheel lock may be better as they will probably leave your car alone and find an easier target. (although you may never know  you had a narrow escape   :D )
My IQ test came back negative
