Android Auto Wireless on JAZZ SPORT
« on: October 23, 2023, 06:59:06 PM »
Has anyone who owns a Honda Jazz SPORT managed to activate Android Auto Wireless?
I tried following the instructions in this link
https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=12538.0
I made various attempts, I was careful to stay in ACC but... nothing to do.
Could they have changed the keystroke?

...You don't need to be in ACC mode it works when the car is started.
I assume you are pressing home, vol button and left track?

I can't vouch for the new Jazz though sorry.

If you do get it connected by that method it's possible you'll be disappointed in the stability anyway.

OK.
I was also curious about the "hidden" features.
I tried both ACC and POWER, to no avail.
Yes, I pressed the three required buttons.
Does the phone have to be connected via cable? When I tried it wasn't.
I think that in the new version they may have changed the way to access hidden functions...

.. Nah, accessing the menu has nothing to do with a phone, connected or otherwise.

Maybe it has changed. Someone should be able to check do you.

The reference to ACC in the link is just the instruction to powerup the car and should not be confused with automatic cruise control

I would recommend never using the cars 'accessory' mode for anything and just powerup as normal. That way, if the HV battery is getting low it will be boosted whilst your changing any settings
Let's be careful out there !

Press menu, home and brightness button simultaneously. After a short while the diagnostic menu appears. Select the bottom menu and browse the different options

...Left volume has changed to brightness now?

It's still the left volume even on the HR-V

On a side note the wireless Android Auto in the HR-V is flawless.

I have the Pioneer/Garmin navi headunit. No buttons apart from brightness, cd eject and power button

...Ah you're talking about an older generation.
I don't know what that model can or can't do I'm afraid.
