Mine is going in to be replaced under warranty.

Driver (right) side has started being noisy, but on opening.

Had a few issues whereas the left wasn't opening, so had to use the manual button to activate it. Called in to dealer this morning, checked it and have said there is a problem part... and they have ordered it, to be replaced under warranty.

I eventually got the noisy passenger door mirror replaced under warranty. I asked if I could keep the old one to take it apart and find out why it was making a grinding noise on folding. The service manager refused as they all have to be sent back to Honda. However he did say that the new replacement unit has a different part number implying it has been redesigned - and the new mirror does indeed now fold faultlessly and silently.

I got my passenger side door mirror fixed recently under warranty. It was squeaking and grinding noise. I believe there has been three or four on here and I think all were on passenger side. Perfect now.

Hi everyone,

I reported this issue to my service during my the last visit there, they told me that it's an issue recognized by Honda and they have planned a date to change the motor part that close the mirror.
I hope that this info could be useful for others.

I visited my dealership last week on another issue and whilst I was there I happened to mention the creaking noise on the near side mirror on my Crosstar. Lo and behold they diagnosed a faulty motor and without quibble they agreed to replace it under warranty. Another of those situations where Honda are aware of the problem but don’t like to own up to it as a factory recall would be detrimental to company profits.

I had my car serviced a couple of weeks ago and mentioned the occasional mirror noise.  Yesterday the left mirror was replaced under warranty.  It sounds as if Honda know of the issue but if we, the drivers, don't mention it, the problem will go away on it's own.

Ive had a problem with the passenger side wing mirror for 2 years. some days ok and then not retracting for a few days.
Dealer last year used silicone spray of some sprt and it worked ok for a while and then the problem started again.
Went for a service last week and asked this to be replaced under warranty, sods law it worked ok when they looked at it. They asked if I would take a video when it went wrong the next time. Got home and obviously it had stopped working again, took video and sent them link to it but heard nothing back.
Rang them this morning and chap I spoke to said yes they had seen the video and I would have to take car in for all day investigation, he then informed me this investigation would cost £150 !
I said this cant be right as Ive already paid for extended warranty and am not paying additional for something already paid for.
Anyone else with this problem have to pay for this?

Honda like many others are buying parts made by CCP hence all the electrical problems.

We have posts that dealers know about the problem and a visit causes a warranty replacement

..... and yet we still hear about so called dealers who are playing hardball

Name and shame and go elsewhere
Let's be careful out there !

Im also waiting for a warranty mirror replacement driver side (left), the guy at the dealership said that the plastic gears get damaged when used in freezing conditions in the winter. His suggestion was to not use folding mirrors in the winter unless necessary (tight parking).
And you can't actually source just the part that folds the mirror, so if you want to fix this out of warranty then you have to pay for the entire mirror. 500 euros or something

I have had to have both sides replaced now, but fortunately both under warranty.

Unfortunately my 12 months old MY24 Jazz Advance has the same problem:
The left mirror sometimes refuses to unfold on unlocking the car  :(

This has happened several times now in decreasing intervals, primarily in the mornings after a cool night.
My friendly Honda dealership has ordered a replacement mirror to be installed on the upcoming first service.

Booked in for next week to have mine replaced under warranty, only one year left on warranty so hoping the break l problem happens (if it’s going to) within that time period.
