I've heard Meguairs NXT metal polish can be used to polish and protect alloys.

I use "MER" polish on my alloys. [Available from Halfords]
The build up of dirt is minimal and what is there hoses off very easily.
I can heartily recommend it!

I use Rim Wax on both the BMW and the Jazz. I used it on the Civic and it kept the wheels looking spot-free for ages.

I never use alloy wheel cleaner though. I think it's a waste to use both a wheel wax or sealant and an acidic cleaner. The combination of a quality wheel wax/sealant and regular washing with normal car shampoo and water is sufficient and the acidic cleaners would strip the wheel protection anyway.

I just bought the Autoglym Alloy Wheel Seal first time, tomorrow I`m going to wash the car so I`ll see how it performed after 2 weeks.

edit: It works, easily washed the wheels and they looks new again.

I've been using the Autoglym Alloy Wheel polish for over 10 years, works for me.
