The driver's wing mirror was wiped off in a narrow lane by a nice person who didn't bother to stop. Having acquired a second hand wing mirror I fitted it with the help of my Haynes Manual. All was well except that the drivers window would only go down 3/4 of the way. On investigation I found that the wing mirror wiring was causing the problem. I then discovered that there is a channel by the front edge of the door, not mentioned in the Haynes Manual, which the wire needs to be tucked into. Once discovered all was well.
