Parcel shelf - anyone fitted an earlier roller type?
« on: January 04, 2012, 08:49:21 PM »
The only thing I dislike about our GE is the parcel shelf.

I had a Beemer Tourer that used a roller as a luggage cover, which worked just fine -  and I don't like loose things left on the rigid parcel shelf to become missiles in an accident so....has anyone tried fitting the earlier roller blind type to a GE, or come up with a better way of fitting those pathetice flappy things to the seatback?

It's like Honda gave up on it really  ::)

Not the answer to your main question, but Honda dropped the little flaps last year when they provided limited tilt to the back seats.

I agree with you about the flaps, and the press-studs in particular.  Our Yaris has similar flaps to accommodate a sliding rear seat, but they are fitted with Velcro strips which are a delight to use in comparison.  However, I've not yet got round to trying to fit Velcro to the Honda....
