Hazard bulb
« on: February 06, 2019, 04:33:05 PM »
The interior switch for my hazard warning lights has stopped lighting up. The switch works and the hazards work, but no illumination. I managed to get the switch cover off only to reveal what looked like a tiny bulb but no chance of getting at it. Anyone any suggestions on how this bulb is replaced??

Probably easier just to replace the switch.

Ok, any instructions on how to do it? There’s nothing in the handbook and does a new switch come with a new bulb fitted??

For what it's worth my Haynes says that tiny bulb may be removable by unscrewing from the back. It'll be slotted. Bulbs only available from Honda - according to Haynes thanks for putting me right Jocko

Or is it? What do you think?

Switch has to be pushed out from the rear after dismantling parts of the instrument panel. Bulbs will be available from other suppliers as well as Honda. For probably a fraction of the price Honda charge!
Personally, I wouldn't go to the trouble. Even at night, and unlit, my hazard warning switch is easily located. Tearing the dash apart for one lamp is too extreme for me!
