All cars sold as new in the UK since 1 october 1998 have a factory fitted immobiliser. (chip in their key) Thatcham approved category 2, or category 1 if that trim level also includes an audible alarm.
The insurance industry have already taken into account the category of factory fitted alarm / immobiliser for each trim level when setting its insurance grouping. (Higher trim levels may be more expensive to insure due to the cost and complexity of its extras, but improved security and safety features may offset this. )
Normally the answer for a 2008 car is 'Yes'. Hence its autofilled. Exceptions might be if the car was a 'grey' import not built to UK specification, (which is asked elsewhere) or if a previous owner has removed the immobiliser (a modification)
I might be wrong about this . You might wish to check with the insurer.

Here is their webpage which gives more information about immobilisers, but it doesnt directly confirm my interpretation.
